Your Future starts here.
Evenings and weekends, 52 weeks a year, we are the place for 8-19-year-olds and up to 25 years old with additional needs in East London to make friends, try new things and start their fantastic future now.
Because Future is so much more than a youth club.
Within our £6.15million home, you’ll find a dedicated team of youth workers who are committed to helping young people discover their passion and purpose and to supporting them through the challenges young people face today.
It’s the little things that make a difference: the hot meal, a chat with a youth worker that understands what a rough day at school is like, the right words that give a young person the confidence to move from the sideline to the starting line in basketball.
And it is not just shooting hoops or dance groups. Every session offers members more than 20 activities to explore and discover, to create their own Future: from boxing to beatboxing, cooking to climbing and nail art to fine art.
All this costs £5 for an annual membership and 50p per visit. We can’t do any of this without the money raised by our supporters. Thank you to each and every one of you – you are building a better Future for the young people of East London.
“Future is more than just a youth centre or a resource. The team has gone above and beyond to support all the kids and their families. They say it takes a village to raise a child, the team have become a much-loved part of that village.”

Future Youth Zone
Future belongs to the young people of Barking & Dagenham who have been involved in our development from day one. We are inspiring – and being inspired by – members every week of the year: their voices inform everything we do and challenge us to exceed expectations.
We’re grateful to our capital partners, East London Council, The Queen’s Trust, Jack Petchey Foundation and the Seroussi Foundation for funding the building of Future, and our Founder Patrons, supporters and fundraisers for ensuring the best Future possible for many years to come.
Future belongs to the young people of Barking & Dagenham and young people have been involved in our development from the start. Our Young People’s Development Group were integral in the planning of Future Youth Zone and were involved in every single stage, from coming up with the name to interviewing staff.
Young people actively participate and influence Futures brand identity, fundraising and the interior design of the Youth Zone and this is fundamental to our approach.
Young people’s voices are still at the heart of the Youth Zone and continue to help us shape their Youth Zone.
For Future to inspire young people to lead healthier, more positive lives, raising their aspirations to become happy, caring and responsible citizens with more to offer themselves, their families, the community and employers.
We give young people somewhere safe and inspiring to go in their leisure time. A 21st century youth provision, open 7 days per week, 52 weeks per year, with at least 20 activities per night, for £5 per year membership and 50p a session, delivered with an outstanding staff team who support, engage, challenge, encourage and listen to them.
